The City of Angels
Bangkok is known as the Krung Thep Maha Nakhon in Thai or City of Angels in English. It is the capital of Thailand which was contructed in the year 1782. It was then the capital of Siam.
Bangkok is situated on the sides of Chao Phraya River and serves as the financial district of Southeast Asia. It is also the top tourist destination in the world. Must see in Bangkok includes their Palaces and Wats. Traveling within the city from the airport was made easier through their Mass Rapid Transit.
Education in Bangkok
The major university in Bangkok includes the Thammasat University and Chulalongkorn University. Both are public universities which are considered the country's leading universities.
The Thammasat University was established in 1934 and is the 2nd oldest university in Thailand. On the other hand, the Chulalongkorn University was established in 1917 and was named after King Chulalongkorn.
