Plastic surgery includes both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. While Cosmetic surgery is performed to reshape normal body parts in order to improve the patient's appearance and self- esteem, Reconstructive surgery is performed on abnormal body parts in order to improve their functions, and possibly rectify abnormal appearance.
