Muay Thai in Bangkok

What is Muay Thai is the Thai’s version of Boxing. This is the form of martial arts played primarily in Southeast Asian countries. It was popularized by Thailand though it is also played in Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos and Burma. This is coincidently the national sport of Thailand.

In history, Muay Thai can be traced back to Muay Boran or also called Ancient Boxing. It was the form of combat used by soldiers. With this boxing, it uses the knees, hands, shins and elbows that’s why it was called The Art of Eight Limbs, as compared with other martial arts form that uses only hands and feet for punching and kicking.
