Wat Arun

Wat Arun which means “Temple of the Dawn”, is a majestic tower with breathtaking views from its 104 meters high tower. It is the known symbol of the city of Bangkok and would often be seen in postcards and posters. The decorations of it are mostly done with porcelain. The Wat is more beautiful from even when you view it across the Chao Praya River. Wat Arun was taken from the name Aruna, who was the Indian god of the dawn. A picture of the temple is best done every sunset.

Canal Tours in Bangkok

Cruising the Chao Praya river is like experiencing the beauty of “The Venice of the East”. This is not only a must see and try for tourist as well as a way to earn a living for the locals of Bangkok. Klong-dwellers sell difference merchandise via their long tailed boats.  Bangkok maybe a modern city nowadays but Bangkok but natives of Bangkok still depends on the river for trading.

Your tour in Bangkok would not be if you will not see the top tourist spot in the country. I enjoyed the majestic beauty of Wat Arun, very picture perfect. I was also able to buy food cooked right from their boats in Chao Praya. it is an experience I will always remember. nofollow
